Working from home can sometimes translate into a less active lifestyle. Long hours at the computer or on the phone can lead to less than desirable results. Hence, it is crucial that you add activities to your new remote schedule.

In a regular office setting, you at a minimum spend energy getting to and from work. Possibly climbing stairs or walking from office to office for whatever reason. At home, all of this is done at your computer. You don’t have to go anywhere, find anyone, even walk to lunch. You are literally secluded to your home.

There are some great ways to beat this difficult transition! Personally, I am a yoga fanatic! Given the amount of time I spend behind a computer, it is crucial for me to stretch throughout the day. Hence, my yoga mat is only a few feet from my desk. Whenever I need a moment to brainstorm, contemplate or just relax, I take a few moments on my mat. Stretching the body out from the seated position can have enormous benefits for the home worker.

If this is new to you, set an alarm on your phone. Every hour, take a few minutes to stretch out your body and let your mind focus. Eventually, your body will alert you when it is feeling the need to stretch and you won’t need an alarm! If yoga isn’t your thing, do jumping jacks and pushups to heighten your energy. Maybe you would need an intensive workouts to compensate the lack of movement. Maybe you would even try some bodybuilding supplements, like best SARMs, to get yourself a perfectly shaped body. If you are incapable of intense workouts, consider a peaceful walk around your neighborhood twice a day.

However you choose to stay active is up to you… and there are literally thousands of options! The important thing is you take time for your body to exert energy and stay healthy.
